Do more with DATA by exploring DATA Wiki & All DATA Shortcuts Documentation
There are several shortcuts that can send texts, emails, or both directly using Apple Shortcuts native integration features.
In theory these can be edited to work with any email or message app that is compatible with shortcuts (you can google to find out which these are)
The first thing to keep in mind with ALL of the messenger shortcuts, is that by default (for safety) ALL of them are set to REQUIRE you to approve a message by tapping “send” before they send anything.
You can turn this off by editing the shortcut, scrolling down to the bottom block where it says “send email” or “send text” and flipping off the “Show Compose Window” toggle.
It is YOUR responsibility to make sure it will work how you want it to before you take that leap!!!
Use this shortcut to draft texts or emails to anyone. It can handle names, emails, or phone numbers as inputs and it will automatically draft the appropriate message type and send it as a text or email based on what you request.
Takes any input (will transcribe with whisper if no input) and finds the most likely contact in your address book, and writes them a very well-written text or email, and presents that final message & recipient to you in the text message or email dialogue.
You can edit the shortcut and turn on Debug mode to see it do this step by step.
It is much better at directly using contact information provided and if you provide contact information directly in your request, it will skip finding the right contact and reply much more quickly.
This shortcut will easily do correctly formatted texts OR emails, but it is kind of slow because it is so thorough. For better performance, see the Quick Reply shortcuts below.
