5 reasons every team should implement a daily standup

<aside> 💡 This page is intended to make sure that members of all Lander projects have clarification on the item’s that they are working on.

Regular standups/check-ins are be done so that all members understand why they are completing a certain task or questions can be answered in a timely manner by other people on other teams.

To use this page, simply fill out the section you were tagged in with what you’re working on and details about how it’s going. Please complete your check-in ***on the day you were tagged.

Please note that documenting your work using this process is required for invoice payment.***

You’ll notice that our ‣ database automatically tags any item that’s been in-progress more than a few days with a **status.

Main Statuses** Done 💎  ← checked as done On It 🟢  ← less than two days old or project page was recently worked on Plz Update 🔴  ← If more than 2 days old, or needs work or an update

Auto-Archive Statuses To Keep Things Neat & Tidy Archived 💎  ← if 2 weeks old and “Done 💎” Expired 🌊  ← if 2 weeks old but not “Done 💎”

Prompts For More Data 🖲️ Add Project ← Needs a linked page ⏳ Hours ⏳  ← Needs estimated hours input to calculate correctly

Any task that isn’t done yet will turn to “Pls Update 🔴” all you need to do is actually do some work on the associated project page every 2 days to turn it back to “On It 🟢.”

All statuses will remind you to input accurate hours if you haven’t yet, with the status “⏳Hours⏳"

If your task needs an update and does not receive one for more than a week, it may change to “Expired 🌊” - You can either update it to restore it to a green dot, or you can continue to let it sit until it gets filtered away a week later.

Once you’re done it gets marked “Done 💎” and then it moved into “Archive 💎” after it’s existed for two weeks, regardless of it was finished.

Please note: to get credit for working on the task, make sure you acurately link the related project. The “Pls Update 🔴” and “On It 🟢” statuses are based on the most recent edit of the linked project page.

When you actually work on the project linked to the task, the light will turn green again!

This is not just a nice way to keep up to date with each other, it’s literally how we make sure projects are happening profitably and we can afford to continue to grow reponsibly as a company. Please help everyone you’re working with by keeping a well organized and up to date tasks section twice a week. Thanks!

Format your tasks as you list them like so:

As you do your check in twice a week, make sure you complete all these steps:

  1. List what you most recently got done (or update the existing ‣ )
  2. Then list what you're working on next
  3. And finally list any questions you have or mention places or projects you're confused about in the comments of the individual items you’re working on. Just open the task page and start typing in the comment section. Tag anyone you need answers from directly in the comment so they get a notification.

You should get a Notion notification about a new tag on this page just before each Monday and Thursday. Please make sure you’ve finished your ‣ checklist items so you get mobile notifications when new standups are posted.

You may also want to update your ‣ entry so that your profile picture shows up, on the “my tasks” view in the database, etc. There’s a place to put in your birthday, favorite candy, your social media and some other fun things too.
