Our parks throughout the city are managed by a single team of dedicated city parks staff. Together they coordinate many events in town, all commercial shoot permits, lots of trail maintenance, wildlife conservation initiatives, and more!

We have over 9,000 acres of parkland and 500 acres of trails that include renowned attractions like Garden of the Gods and the Manitou Incline trail.

That means parks are almost 10% of all the land in town!

City parks encompass a diverse array of natural areas, including forested foothills, sheer-walled canyons, mountain streams, unique rock formations, expansive grasslands and scenic mesas.
